The client wanted to create a 5 star hotel style bathroom in their 1940’s home in Sandymount.

Although the house had been upgraded and renovated to a high standard within the last 10 years, the family bathroom fell short of the standard of the rest of the house, and the space was not being used efficiently.

We moved a storage cupboard (which formerly housed the hot tank), to encorporate the space into the bathroom, thereby allowing us to install a large walk in shower, with a separate free standing bath.  A key feature was the large Porter ‘Stratford’ vanity unit, with double wall mounted mirror storage above.  Fired earth herringbone cararra marble floor tiles, with cararra marble wall tiles throughout created a cool, calm sophistication.  Walls were painted a ‘Pavillion Grey’, with ‘Wimbourne White’ wood work.  Decorative 1940’s style wall lights gave added glamour to a truly exceptional bathroom.

“We were really aiming for a very luxurious finish, and Evelyn understood this immediately.  From the beginning, she guided us in the right direction.  Her design and layout managed to give us greater space and exceeded our expectations of what could be achieved.  The look and feel, the finish and the functionality of the space she created is so much more than we could have hoped for.  We were delighted with the service she and her team provided”.
