Sandymount Hotel
In the iconic Sandymount Hotel, one of the last family owned and run hotels in the country, we upgraded their bedrooms, reception, corridors and common areas, and the staff break room. This was done on a phased basis over the past 3 years.
The client required two separate and individual looks for the different levels of room.
In the standard bedrooms we brought a dramatic look with a panelled wall in Farrow & Ball’s ‘De Nimes’. We introduced elements of gold and walnut, with luxurious silver lined full length curtains, and dark blue bedside lockers.
In the premium bedrooms we went for an elegant ‘Shaded white’ on the walls, with a panelled wall in ‘Worsted’ from Farrow & Ball. Deep pile velvet carpet created a sense of comfort and luxury, along with steel grey studded upholstered headboards.
Contemporary artwork was curated strategically throughout the hotel, layering in soft furnishings, planting and objet to complete the look.
In the breakroom we went for bold contrasts and contemporary touches.

“We’ve had the pleasure of working with Evelyn over the past number of years on the upgrade of our bedrooms and public areas. Her work has been fantastic, her eye for detail, design expertise, and ability to tie everything together has transformed the look and feel of the hotel.
Evelyn brought a fresh, modern approach while still respecting the character of the building.
We’re absolutely delighted with the results and would highly recommend her for any design project.
